One of our six core goals
Prompt Marriage
Islam does not treat marriage as something to be put off. For those who have the means, marrying promptly is Sunnah, because it protects the gaze and character and brings stability to life.
Why marry promptly
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the young: whoever is able to marry should marry, for it lowers the gaze and better guards chastity; and for the one who cannot, fasting is a shield.
In today's society education, careers, dowry demands and huge costs push the age of marriage up. The result is loneliness, the risk of haram relationships and anxiety in families.
What "ability" means
Ability does not mean luxury; it means the ability to pay the mahr, minimum maintenance and safe housing. The Qur'an also encourages marrying off the poor and promises enrichment from Allah's bounty.
Haste versus promptness
Prompt marriage does not mean marriage without verification. Checking the religiosity and character of the groom and bride, involving the guardian, istikhara and consultation — avoiding needless delay while keeping these steps is the teaching of the Sunnah.
How IMB helps
After an application we verify under scholarly supervision, ensure an in-person office visit and arrange introductions among suitable candidates — so that eligible people do not wait without reason.
Evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah

Common questions
What if I do not have the means?
Keep striving for lawful earnings, fast, guard your gaze and let your guardians and trusted people know so a simple way to marry can be found.
Can one marry before finishing studies?
If you are able and ready to bear the responsibility, marriage is possible during studies too. Consider your own situation and take the advice of a guardian and a scholar.
